This article is way overthinking things. From a societal point of view, as evidenced by ads, movies, etc., there probably are overtones of dominance and submission in sexual relationships. But from my personal point of view, sex is a pleasurable, fun, and emotionally satisfying thing to do with an equal and willing partner (or by myself). I pity those who can't get past their sociological theorizing enough just to have a good time.
