If you try self paced learning I recommend to use at least two books and practice. Chatgpt might help with questions as well.
Try to focus ob concepts not to achieve specific goals too fast.
It takes some time and practice to get into it. It helps a lot to understand all the things around like dns, http and how tcp works.

Yes, I am going by both breadth and depth wise. For breadth wise, I am trying to understand how different pieces fit into the whole system. Absolutely, for learning the core concepts, I am going through the official doc as well.
