Not to mention the 'startup' lifecycle: starts as "we're not just another corporation! we're fun! look at all the colorful toys we have" yet the goal is invariably to become a major corporation or get acquired by one. Especially jarring when they carry on all the fake coolness well into the later corporate stages...
Democratise them then. Turn them into workers co-ops. Ofc I don't say that to imply it's an easy task, but to remind people it's a tangible alternative to what we have to endure.
I'd love to see more of that! I'm afraid corporations, consumerism and greed as a virtue are the mainstream right now. Times will be different in due course. I hope to live long enough to see other forms of civilization than this self destroying one.

Corporations are dictatorships. Having a corporate job is living in a totalitarian state one workday at a time.
Yet there are people out there that mindlessly defend various corporations and their products or spread their propaganda. Boggles the mind.

“Don’t be evil” ...
It's don't be dr. Evil, I didn't spend six years in Evil Comp Science University to be called "mister," thank you very much.
