I'm not sure these journalists are doing the homework that will help their readers understand what ChatGPT is. I'll admit I'm just barely coming up to speed with the math and terminal work to understand what's going on.

It's worth it though I'm not scared anymore. It's a tool. wordsmiths are gonna have to find their self worth in other places I think.
