If I'm ever blessed with a wife and we come to expect a Child, I'm going to have us sleep with a Dozen Eggs in a Blanket and see if we can sleep without waking up Egged.
Paleolithic Man did not have $1700 safety bassinets and Secure Rooms for their Infants. It seems self-evident to me that a Mother and Father will sleep with their Baby in their arms until the Baby is old enough to complain of Doting and want their own space, or until the baby is old enough to sleep safely alone.
