This is a good question. I'm sure there is good content unless you are looking for content that is created to pair it with add to earn money. I assume that the adds industry is favouring english content created in more western relations for western or western oriented viewers. This does not exclude Syrian content per se but makes it harder to support it with adds.

Would the infrastructure in Syria support creators and consumers of original content?
