I thought it was interesting the author used the word "she" in the list under "What sorts of people make other people better?" It looks like a conscious choice, I'm curious why they made it.

It has become common in the english language to write "she" instead of "he" when the gender is undefined. This is presumably also to break the male stereotype mold.

probably to hide hide somthing when he says "At Spool we’ve consciously hired mostly Stanford alums"
