I wish people stopped trying to win arguments by flashing their manager role, it's not very far from bragging that your dad owns the company. It makes one look like a jerk.
You "wouldn't hire me"? Ever though many, perhaps most, people wouldn't want to work for you in the first place? And that if they do, it might be because they need a job, not that they agree with you or your arguments?
