Yeah, I’ve had a very similar dreadful experience once.

Didn’t get fired, just left myself after a while. They wouldn’t fire at the time, as the project required all hands on deck.

Still puzzling to me to be honest. I keep revisiting it in my head, but just can’t put my finger on what went wrong.
