In my case:

Limiting case 1: I worked in an office before coronavirus and was well respected as a lead contributor. Smashed all of my reviews, went contracting, fantastic.

Limiting case 2: during coronavirus I was the only person in the office. This company culture eventually made me lose my sanity to the extent that I had to seek help. I couldn't work at all, 0% productivity.

For me it's obvious that environment matters.
