So does air travel, tourism, banking, trade, entertainment, religion, scientific research, immigration, international aid, the Red Cross, the UN and food. Personally, I feel more connected to Italy due to pizza.

The point being ---- so much human activity can be linked to this sort of spurious, feel good claim as to make it virtually meaningless.
