Not just pop-ups that are annoying. It feels like every damn time I click a link, it opens in a new tab. Even when I'm just navigating within a site. Then I end up with 2 million stale-ass tabs. If I want a new tab, I'll open a new tab myself, thank you very much.

That and the almighty "Pop-up" because we REALLY want our user to do what we want..
Although a carousel to display a group of images ( like car shots, the interior, etc ) seems to be the best of what I know.
