How does cherishing every moment and leading by example take care of global warming? Economic inequality? Nuclear armageddon?
I'm trying real hard to cherish every moment and be optimistic, but none of these things are improving.
The only thing that's worked for me on a personal level is not watching mainstream news or advertising, disconnecting from social media, and basically making a decision that I can't improve any of these problems so it's pointless to even try.
Not pointless or you are missing the point of global heating. You still have an ability of not having a: car, warm house, airplane travels, beef, kids etc. If some of the issues are too hard for you, ask your local authorities to rise the price of fossil fuels or taxes for using too much of energy. Not even joking, in Ukraine some ppl have an ability (even still) of having "subsidized" natural gas prices which is very very bad IMO.
When just 100 companies are responsible for 71% of global emissions, I'm finding it pretty difficult to find any incentive to take pains to improve my personal footprint.
Lol, being Australian my government are climate denying coal shills (I didn't vote for these particular clowns).
