I appreciate all the volunteers working on Linux, but do none of them use popular hardware?
Why should they? Dell is selling the laptops with Linux, they should be the ones to test. Would you ask the same question to Microsoft for a windows driver bug?
I would be super annoyed if I bought a copy of Windows and it didn't work on one of the most popular devices out there. And especially so if the problem was left unaddressed after over a year of updates.
