I'm sure the developers don't mind that feature being added at some point either, but they aren't prioritizing it. It's a research language that is being designed as they are doing workshops with children to see what does and does not work. Figuring out what helps them learn best has priority over adding features just because we're familiar with them as experienced programmers.
