We lost a bunch of excellent scientists, teachers and human beings overall, known and less known. Besides Barrow, it was personally painful to learn that Malcolm J. Skove also passed away last June. He co-authored one of the best introductory physics textbooks that I have read, "Physics: Classical and Modern".
