While the whole secret service thing is a popular meme, it's not clear that it's true. He would indeed lose his pension if he's removed without exiting office, but the Secret Service is a different law than the pension one, and appears to have no such exception [0].
Good point. The Vice President does not get life time Secret Service. Considering the death threats directed at Mike Pence, delivered by insurrectionists while they sought him out at the capitol, I think the Congress should take up the issue of extending Secret Service protection to him for some period of time beyond the usual 6 months, should Trump not be convicted prior to January 20th. (I don't like the guy but I think he and his family should be protected.)
