The problem I have come across with a lot of these research is how far off the mark they can be on areas I know very well. So on areas I don’t know much about I am suspect about.
Of course, private markets are murky by definition, and many companies have an incentive to hide how profitable they are (not referring to the VC model driven startups) and how great the niche they have carved out is.
