I was considering building a scheduling program too, after seeing the paper-posted-on-the-breakroom-wall school of scheduling in action, but I gave up after talking to potential users and buyers who basically said they wouldn't buy it, and they wouldn't use it if it was free.

But I still believe that someday they will switch to something better, so good luck.
