I don't know about VCs in North Carolina, but in Silicon Valley numbers 2 and 6 are false. VCs here aren't looking for experienced managers; they're looking for Larry & Sergey. And number 6 is subsumed by number 1. They're hoping the company will do so well that they don't need any specific exit strategy.
