There are many (too many?) AI vehicle manufacturers on the road. Are they alpha-testing with everyone's lives? How rigorous and periodic are testing and certification? They should be strenuously tested on a track with a battery of real emergency situations and safety checks before being allowed anywhere near public roads, and then completely retested before every release. Furthermore, as Boeing and corporate capture have proven, self-regulation is a non-starter, this must be done by an independent, competent regulatory body.
