Technically, the first part could emulate what can be done with DNS black hole implementations like Pi Hole. For the second part to work you'd almost need to go around the first DNS part and actually load the image (if it comes from their CDN), figure out what size it is, and substitute it. This would still generate part of the traffic EvilCorp would be after as they would register a little tiny bit of info about "you" unless you're also doing a concerted effort to fill in creative garbage there.
