Comment on Iterations, a new internal app for managing what we work on next

Comments

Haven't ticketing systems and bug trackers been around for a long, long, long time?

Yes of course. However, to analyze a new product, it can be helpful to use the following template:

It's just like ___A___, however for people who need to ___B___, ___A___ has the problem ___C___. We solved ___C___ by doing ___D___.

So perhaps it is just like a ticketing system (___A___). The question is whether there is a problem ___B___ that existing ticketing systems don't solve for people ___C___, which Iterations solves by doing ___D___.

My thought exactly. But I suppose if you limit yourself to 37signals apps, then it was an open need.

But isn't this the point of Basecamp?
