In my experience that's not a popular sentiment. FB has absolutely decimated the organic reach of posts by businesses, creators, and other entities whose customers/fans have followed them. Now you have to pay Facebook to reach those customers/fans who followed you in order to see your posts.
Facebook manipulates the feed to show only those posts which guarantee maximum user engagement. When a new post is made, the post is initially shown only to a small subset of fans. It will be shown to more people only when they engage with your post or if you cough up money to promote the post.

Afaik you pay for people who don't follow you. Why wouldn't your fans, or your followers visit your site organically? can't be fans then.
