Comment on Ask HN: Remote workers, how do you show your work?

Comments

We're a startup of >30 people, some of us work part time and we're distributed in opposite time zones. We have no offices, everybody's work is 100% remote. This is what we do:

-An asynchronous daily scrum session in Rocket Chat (awesome free, self-hosted tool).

-A channel in Rocket Chat dedicated to alert about commits. Commits are actually the most important criteria for measuring an engineer's output.

-GitLab board. (Previously Trello board).

-If everyone speaks in a public channel (even if only speaking directly to a single person), one's output can be judged if she is making and answering questions.
