The internal resistance of supercaps is higher than that, they cannot discharge in microseconds.

Think about it: 5V 3F into 10 microseconds would require a resistance of micro-ohms, which is less than the resistance of the connecting wires. That's not even counting the ESR (internal resistance.)

TIL. Not sure where I heard that. I'm having trouble finding good information on caps vs. batteries in this respect but I was definitely wrong. Thanks!
