18A is not a problem in itself, because the voltage isn't that high. Your drone likely draws more than 18A.
Your car starter draws 10x that.
High current just needs thick wires. 120V wall power, with a proper power supply, needs 1A or less to generate 18A at 5V.

What I'm most worried about is actual capacity. 1F is 1A for 1v second with a drop of 1V. Let's assume we need 3 amp hours at a drop from 5V to 2V. That means 3600 F of capacitance! We're not there yet.
