Ask HN: What was the startup that made a new type of server for data passing?

I recall a startup that showed up on HN about a month ago...

The gist was they started a new kind of way to pass data between servers, and one of the key ideas was you could have an MMO with thousands of players on screen at one time. They were even making a game to prove the concept.

Does anyone remember what this was?
