Ask HN: Reliable Broadband on the Move

I'm considering, with my family, to take up a few years on the road in an RV, so we can experience our country from different perspectives and immerse our kids in the geographical areas of history that they are learning about as we tutor them independently. As a programmer, I know there is plenty of work that can be done away from an office, provided there's some internet connection to swap bits with at times.

I'm starting to do research on RVs and fast, mobile internet in particular. I was curious to see if anyone has ever done this. Are there success stories? Are there failures to learn from? Are there pitfalls to be aware of? Any advice on tech to outfit the RV with?
