Ask HN: Use Vim for iOS development?

I have been a developer for some years and while I know how to use Vim, it is not my editor of choice. Many people recommend using Vim because of the speed you gain while coding using only the keyboard.

I do build all my apps with pure code, but somehow I feel xcode brings more to the dev process.

Is Vim recommended for iOS development? Can it really improve the development speed?
