Software developers needed to make PostgreSQL on Hadoop scale. Join us!

We at Citus Data (http://citusdata.com) are building a scalable analytics database that lets you run SQL queries over hundreds of machines. Our database extends PostgreSQL; and can easily run analytic queries on data loaded into Postgres, as well as on data that lives in distributed data stores such as Hadoop.

We are (yet) a small team of hardcore engineers who previously worked at Amazon and Cloudera. We are a Y Combinator S11 startup and are well-funded. Our investors include Data Collective, SV Angel, Start Fund, Trinity Ventures, and others who are well-versed in the software and enterprise space.

Our ideal teammates want to learn new technologies and solve hard problems. They are the outliers; they are self-motivated, relentlessly resourceful, and can build simple systems that solve complex problems.

Requirements:

* B.S or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

* Solid knowledge of one popular programming language and a scripting language

* Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, OS, and networking

* Good communication skills as you'll also be interacting with our customers

* Interest in distributed systems or databases

* Bias for getting stuff done

We offer competitive salary, significant equity, and standard benefits. We are hiring in San Francisco and Istanbul; and we're out there to build the best database company there is.

If interested, please send your resume / past projects to imagine@citusdata.com
