Canon LBP2900B + Ubuntu + Printing + Custom Paper Size = Life Sucks

For my business, we are trying to use ubuntu desktop. but we were not able to get a custom paper size printing in ubuntu desktop. It works out of the box in mac os x and windows xp / vista / 7. any experiencing?
