Everyone thinks the danger is that China will not be able to make advanced chips. The real danger is the opposite: China is learning to live without them while investing to fill the gap.

Read: not at the cutting edge of innovation.

But of course, the moment they invade Taiwan, the definition of cutting edge will change as Taiwans production goes offline.

Well NL has the best chip fab tech, so its inevitable.
