Whoever, being an officer of the Army or Navy, or other person in the civil, military, or naval service of the United States, orders, brings, keeps, or has under his authority or control any troops or armed men at any place where a general or special election is held, unless such force be necessary to repel armed enemies of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both; and be disqualified from holding any office of honor, profit, or trust under the United States.
Per DoJ guidance this also means that FBI agents cannot conduct investigations inside polling places on Election Day and deputy U.S. marshals cannot be stationed at open polls because they are armed while on duty:
There seems to always be an encoded loophole, eh? Though while marking anyone an “enemy” is subjective to interpretation, “armed” not so much. Unless, of course, you bring a sandwich with you to the polls.
You gotta be joking. Did you miss all the cases where ICE just took people who were carrying proof of citizenship? Did you miss the allegations by conservatives that massive amounts of illegal immigrants are voting all over the country, but especially in blue states?

See perhaps 18 U.S. Code § 592:

And who defines "unless such force be necessary to repel armed enemies of the United States"?

Voters had better show up naked which may counteract the attempts to limit the vote to the christian right.
More less irrelevant. How many polling places is there, how many ICE agents do they have?
According to the NCSL, ~96k polling places vs. 22k+ ICE agents (number steadily increasing).
How could anyone even hope to affect the results by only interfering in >20% of voting locations? Obviously irrelevant.
Yes irrelevant, because they never operate in units of 1, they are always in big groups.
Ah, and that is an immutable fact of the universe. I forgot, good point.
Luckily it doesn't matter that even interfering at 1% of polling places is very likely enough to sway the US election, right?
1. Considering how much of a swing is expected it is a statistical error
2. You have to register to vote, so you have already proven that you are a citizen, thus the whole theater with ICE is double irrelevant.
