Show HN: TinyGit – a simple macOS Git client
tinygit.appBeen a minute since I showed anything on HN, but I find myself back. I finally got around to scratching an itch I've had for a very long time: making a simple, clean, easy-to-use macOS Git client that "just makes sense."
With that, I present: TinyGit!!!
I've tried so many UI-based Git clients over the years, and none of them ever felt "good" to me, so I created TinyGit with my vision for a super-clean, super-intuitive experience: no crazy Git graphs, easy-to-understand upstreams/commits, super-easy squash-and-merge locally before pushing.
Anyhow — it's a paid app on the App Store, but I'll drop free codes in as comments throughout the day or two for people to check it out. My only ask is that if you do try it out, leave a comment here letting me know your thoughts/experiences.

Awesome. Thanks, I used one of the codes. All the other git clients on mac are garbage. I would like to see a compare tool integrated in the future, but I do love how simple it is. Keep up the good work.
Great call out - there's a "mini resolve-conflicts" tool you can open, and there's the classic +/- text-based git patch diff view at the bottom right (if you expand it; but this is only useful for small changes).
Im torn on if I want to add a full "diff tool" into this - or if i should figure out how to integrate (open in) existing "best of breed" diff tools. Leaning towards the latter to keep the app simple and good at its core job. I might explore using the resolve conflict view for diff though (since it ~already shows diffs in order to resolve conflicts).
