Ask HN: Why is the "Who is hiring?" post being re-aged?

I noticed that the August 2026 "Who is hiring?" post currently shows it's 1 hour old when opened from the front page. All the comments themselves are also under 1 hour old as well..

But if you check from the whoishiring account submissions it is properly tagged at 8 hours old https://news.ycombinator.com/submitted?id=whoishiring

Why would comments/posts get re-aged like this? Do any other posts/comments get re-aged?

I noticed this happens quite often with posts on the first page. Not unusual to the post you are referring to.

thanks! was just wondering. maybe some issue with the implementation of manual movement of posts.
