Ask HN: Could Linux on the Amiga have saved Commodore from bankruptcy?

Given that NeXTSTEP saved Apple, one might wonder whether Linux could have saved Commodore.

What do you think?

Judging by the short lifespan of this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amiga_Unix - I'll guess there wasn't much demand for *nix on the Amiga.

Also, saying NeXTSTEP saved Apple is pretty dubious. Far more important were replacing Apple's failing management, Bill Gates opening his checkbook, and the (relatively) huge success of the iMac.
