I love the ad copy from 1951. Sounds like how people talk about AI today.

"No longer must valuable engineering personnel ... now in critical shortage ... spend priceless creative time at routine repetitive figuring"

The ads from 1951 didn't know anything about you. Except that you were reading an engineering magazine of course.

I did a double-take on that ad, it obviously features the professor from Gilligan's Island!
