There’s a lot of money and other forms of motivation on all sides of the argument.

Qatar has spent orders of magnitude more on influencing US opinion.

Are the companies and persons involved in that effort registered under FARA? That's part of the criticism of AIPAC and other aligned groups, that they aren't and nobody in power has thought to make them.

Not committing genocide would be one really easy way to influence public opinion. And it's free too.
