Apple sells me a MacBook to deliver $1700; cancels 5 days later quoting $2000?

I got the basic Macbook Pro for $1700 pre tax. They changed the prices after I had already signed (through Apple Business). Before sending me the purchase order, they cancelled my quote, sent me a new PO at the higher price, and the Apple Business Rep had to argue with them to undo this. I ended up just paying in full rather than going with the lease. But isn't this super lame for a company like Apple and even illegal?

Unless the quote was good for a certain amount of time, I don’t see a problem. Prices change. When you see a good price, buy it.

Perhaps I am misreading Op's post, but it sounds like that's what they did? If they signed to purchase it, is that not buying it?
