Ask HN: Developers, are you being forced into prompt-only engineering?

I've heard most don't write any code at all at bigger shops that have flexible/unlimited token budgets. Code reviews are also being "offshored" to LLMs and/or neglected.

What's your experience? Most importantly, do you enjoy this shift? Are you happy with becoming and staying a prompt engineer for the rest of your careers?
