Spotify cementing their status as possibly the single most artist-hostile company in the world. On the flip side, I see more people purchasing vinyl releases directly from artists these days.

For Spotify, a good rule of thumb is: 1 vinyl sale ≈ 1,000 to 3,000 streams, depending on how much the artist actually keeps from the vinyl and the exact payout. If you want to support your favorite artists, consider purchasing physical media.

But it is slop.
