Ask HN: Recommended kindle books before Amazon's D-Day?

Like many of you I recently received the announcement from Amazon that my beloved v1 Kindle Paperwhite will no longer be supported (as of May 20th, at which point I won't be able to buy new eBooks).

I love my Paperwhite, so figured I'd stock up on some books before it's too late.

Any good suggestions?

I particularly enjoy autobiographies, but I'm open to any suggestions. The HN crowd always has unique insights!
