Visit chrome://flags/#vertical-tabs, then right click your tab bar and click "Move tabs to the left".

Wow. Finally someone in the corporation of good paid some attention to mere users’ problems. Really wow.

I hope it’s not the fluke and the person is not going to be laid off for lack of “impact”.
