Is this the Year of Linux paid Apps?

It seems Microsoft has finally pissed off enough people. Especially with this recent news of giving away BitLocker keys. That people are jumping to Linux for Desktop. I'm currently looking at Linux tools that can replace my Windows tools. e.g. Google Drive syncing

I think this might grow the paid apps market for Linux. Windows users don't have a problem paying for something if we don't have to manage it and deal with drivers.
