Principles.
“Don’t put buttons where they’ll be accidentally pressed.”

Principles have to be deeper. Tesla keeps removing buttons due to principles (best button is no button)

TLDR: Product management goal mis-alignment can create annoying ux.

Counterpoint: People often forget to start their trackers. A "looks like your exercising" notification might be legitimately valuable for more people than the population for which it is annoying.
