1000memories is looking to hire talented engineers (backend, frontend and mobile) and designers to join our team in San Francisco.

We use a wide range of technologies in our services and applications including Ruby, Rails, Sinatra, CoffeeScript, Backbone, Java, Dropwizard, Android, Objective-C and Cocoa. To get a flavor of our work, check out two projects we’ve recently open sourced -- our 'quilt view' for iOS (http://blog.1000memories.com/168-opensourcing-quilt) and our backend image processing service (http://blog.1000memories.com/169-photon).

We've just been acquired by Ancestry.com (http://blog.1000memories.com/170-ancestry-acquires-1000memor...). We'll continue to work as a small 'start up' team within Ancestry, bringing our beautiful, easy-to-use software on the web and mobile devices to Ancestry's millions of subscribers.

Tough engineering challenges we're working on include - Leveraging Ancestry’s immense data (e.g., 10B+ historical records) - Scaling our existing products to Ancestry’s millions of users

Please email me at brett@1000memories.com if you're interested in opportunities at 1000memories or Ancestry.
