Truly a "Not all heroes wear capes" situation.

As I said in a statement that day, “Knowing that I can stand in front of 12 of my fellow citizens and be found not guilty for standing up for basic human rights makes me feel like, despite the scary times we live in, we have hope for the future.”

Well said. And while I know some people will object to what I'm about to say, I'm reminded of this old saw:

"There are four boxes to be used in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and cartridge (or ammo). Please use in that order."[1]
