Ask HN: Transition to Management?

On HN

Going through some hardcore career burnout that has been lasting for far too long. Boring and not meaningful work, massive team and horrible oncall. Interviewed and got a manager opportunity for a team I think is quite interesting, but have zero management experience. Anyone enjoy this transition to gain new perspective?

I enjoy helping people and have a decent engineering background. This is at a “big tech/faang adjacent” company
