On HN

they can burn all the books

they can strike all the laws

they’ll try this and that

(what won’t they try?)

they’ll make us all run laundromats

they’ll poison the water

they’ll cut down the trees

they’ll starve all the otters

they’ll kill all the bees

but after all is said and done

they won’t have killed C

when i lay awake at night, there in the clockwork of my brain

i know the code was not right, but i will not code it again

it matters not how severe the bug, nor how the fixers will be stumped

when they uncover the hole i dug, seg fault (core dumped)

That’s excellent. Would it be okay to use your poem in a book someday, with the proper attribution (it would be a book about writing C)?

By all means.

Thank you! It may never actually happen, but I'll attempt to post back here if/when it does.

I think C is not an offense but an insult to reason.
